MISSION: The Gettysburg Wargame Society advances the study of military history, strategy, and decision-making through rigorous scholarship, historical simulations, tactical decision games, Kriegsspiel, and tabletop wargaming. We connect the lessons of past conflicts with the challenges of the present and future, creating an informed community where historians, military professionals, educators, students, and wargamers can explore the enduring complexities and human consequences of war.

VISION: We envision a community in which military history is not merely remembered, but actively examined—preserving our shared military heritage, strengthening strategic judgment, and helping future generations learn from the decisions and experiences of the past.

OBJECTIVES

2. Advance the study and practice of military strategy through research, professional dialogue, simulations, tactical
